Named STS-41-B, this flight launched from Kennedy Space Center on 3 February 1984, and it was Challenger’s fourth flight. On the fourth day of the mission, mission specialists Bruce McCandless II and Robert Stewart performed the first untethered spacewalk, operating the Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU) during the process. McCandless ventured 98m from Challenger. The model includes the Challenger Orbiter, External Tank (ET) and two Solid Rocket Boosters (SRB).
